This is a SHORT, LIGHT and SIMPLE newsletter. Its purpose is to rekindle in the initiated terminology they have once learned, and enlighten the uninitiated on terms they may have heard but never known the meaning of.

“Radial Flow”

“Radial Flow” is used to mean the flow of water in an aquifer toward a well.

“Capture zone” is the area within an aquifer that drains to and is captured by a pumping well.

“Cone of Depression” is the cone-shaped depression in the groundwater level around a well during pumping.
